As my sweetheart and I were perambulating the neighborhood last night, we noticed that the sky was becoming an interesting mix of colors. It became interesting enough that I said "Let's get to our sunset place!", and off we ran to the car with a detour to grab the camera. Light like that does not last long. I yanked the car off Ferguson Road onto a familiar old overgrown field driveway I could not see, but knew was there. I grabbed the camera and got a few shots before the light finally faded into dusk.
Do you have a sunset place? If not, find a spot near your home with a big view of the sky to the west, right down to the horizon. When the sky starts to look interesting, usually just before sunset, go there. You may never fully return.
