About Brad
I am a longtime Kent resident and Kent historian. Highly allergic to a full-time job, I play music professionally, photograph semi-professionally, and record local musicians.
I love to photograph fading Americana, people, nature, and any odd scene that comes my way. I look to capture and convey the spirit of a person or place through my photos.
I learned darkroom techniques in the Army in 1972, and have had a camera with me ever since. My photos have been used by local governments, historic societies, Portage County Parks, Kent Environmental Council, the Kent Patch, and Kent State University. I have exhibited photos at McKay Bricker Gallery and Summit Artspace in Akron.
You can see my photos of musicians, nature, and the Kent area online.
I hope you enjoy my photos at the Patch as much as I enjoy making them.
