Remembering an Early Spring

Flowers arrived ahead of schedule this year.

It certainly felt like summer this past weekend, but it also felt like summer over 2 months ago.  Remember the third week of March?  If not, this photo may jog your memory.  Eighty degrees for a few days, we could keep our windows open at night, frogs were singing louder than ever, and flowering plants were weeks early.  My favorite row of trees in the spring, seen here, bloomed that week.  Usually they come out in late April.

This was an interesting shot to get.  You can probably tell it was taken facing north on the Haymaker bridge, but there is a problematic fence there.  With my camera on a tripod, a wireless shutter release, and many attempts, I managed to get an image.  The more interesting photo would have been the faces of drivers laughing while I shakily held the tripod as high as I could over my head.
