Alison Matas, Neighbor

I recently graduated from Marietta College with a degree in journalism, organizational communication/public relations and leadership studies. At Marietta, I served as editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper for two years and was actively involved in the school&#39;s leadership and music programs. Last summer, I delved into the exciting world of opera in my job as a beat reporter for the Chautauquan Daily in western New York.<br><br>A native of Kent, I&#39;m looking forward to (finally) spending a summer at home with my family and friends. In August, I  will be heading to the University of Missouri to pursue a master&#39;s degree in journalism and work as the student editor of the j-school&#39;s alumni magazine.
