Kent police detectives are still trying to track down a masked man who robbed Darque Zone Tanning earlier this month. According to police, the robber walked into the tanning salon at about noon on Feb. 1, claimed he had a weapon and stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the register. He then fled the East Main Street tanning salon in a black Mazda 6. Police said the man is white, about 5'10" and weighs roughly 160 lbs. He's wanted on aggravated robbery charges. Anyone with leads or information regarding the robbery is asked to contact the Kent Police Detective Bureau at 330-673-7733, according to Kent Police Lt. Jim Prusha. A white man, in his 20s, entered Twilight Boutique at 7:22 a.m. this morning and robbed the store at gunpoint, according to Kent police. This is the second time the boutique has been robbed this month. On Oct. 13, it was at knifepoint and the suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of cash. This time, the suspect sustained a head injury after being hit by an employee, police said. He left the store on foot and is still at large. Police would not comment on what the man stole. He is described as 5-foot 10-inches with a thin build wearing a red and white polo, blue jeans, glasses, red gloves and a dark mask. Kent police arrest suspect on Carlisle Court
A Twinsburg woman has been charged with robbing a Kent pizza delivery driver at gunpoint Thursday night. Kent police arrested Ashley Tyler, 21, shortly after 11 p.m. Thursday and charged her with aggravated robbery after a pizza delivery driver reported being robbed on Carlisle Court. According to police, the victim was delivering food to a Carlisle Court address when Tyler approached the victim, flashed a black handgun and robbed the delivery driver outside an apartment building in the 900 block of Carlisle Court. The victim was unharmed, and the suspect fled with the food. Responding officers canvassed the area and found and arrested Tyler.
