Tree City Coffee Expanding to Hudson

Partnership with Summa Wellness Institute puts coffee, pastry shop in building with wellness center and Akron Children's

Tree City Coffee & Pastry and Summa Health System announced today an agreement to open a Tree City Coffee & Pastry café this December in the Summa Wellness Institute in Hudson, Ohio. Partners Mike Beder, Evan Bailey, and Brian Bower will join together in Hudson to form the joint venture, named Tree City Coffee & Pastry Hudson. The venture paves the way for Summa Wellness Institute members and consumers in Hudson and surrounding communities to enjoy the Tree City Coffee & Pastry experience. Tree City certainly isn't committed to providing ADA seating like they should do, and like they promised me they were gonna do. I visited their establishment a week after they opened, and one of the owners mentioned in the article above, told me he was gonna get an ADA table, and he never made sure it happened. So I won't go back until they do, and if they never do, then I'll never be back!   more ›

'Coffee and Conversation' with Kathleen Clyde Friday at Tree City

State representative hosts informal gathering at Tree City Coffee

State Rep. Kathleen Clyde will be host her regular “Coffee & Conversation” meeting in Kent at Tree City Coffee downtown on Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Clyde's informal discussions are held monthly at different locations across Portage County for residents to speak one-on-one with their state representative about issues facing the state.  All are welcome to attend.

Tree City Coffee & Pastry Opens Bright and Early Monday

Mike Beder, Evan Bailey and Brian Bower co-own new business in Acorn Alley II.

The owners of Kent’s newest Acorn Alley II business – Tree City Coffee & Pastry – are excited to see city residents gathering alongside Kent State University residents in an environment designed to make everyone feel like part of one community. Co-owners Mike Beder, Evan Bailey and Brian Bower are excited to finally open the doors at 5:30 a.m. Monday to start serving up their eight different coffees, made-fresh-daily muffins and pastries and a unique selection of sandwiches made on fresh-baked breads. Tree City Coffee collaborated with Bent Tree Coffee Roasters in Kent to create the Two Trees blend.
