The Stow-Munroe Falls/Kent Theodore Roosevelt matchup received the most Facebook votes to be selected as the Akron General Sports Medicine Billboard Game of the Week. Friday's game got 26 more votes than the St.Vincent-St.Mary versus Walsh Jesuit game. There are six digital billboards that the game will be advertised on: Clear Channel Outdoor, which manages the billboards and the program, estimates that about 1.5 million see the digital billboards during commutes. The billboard design will run today, tomorrow and during the game at Theodore Roosevelt at 7 p.m. After the game, the billboard will announce the winning team as well as some highlights and headlines…

Then vote for the matchup Friday to be featured as the game of the week on Facebook. If the Stow/Kent game is selected, it will be featured as the game of the week on six Summit County billboards, according to Billboard Game of the Week. Clear Channel Outdoor Akron/Canton is responsible for the program. As of 8:27 a.m. Tuesday, the Stow/Kent game was in the lead with 330 votes. One student remains hospitalized today following a crash Wednesday that injured five seniors at Theodore Roosevelt High School. Tammy Prunty-Ayers said Friday that her son, Jake Prunty, was released from Robinson Memorial Hospital Thursday afternoon. "I was so glad he was able to come home so soon," Prunty-Ayers said. "Now we need (Zach) Marlow to pull through so the five can be together again." Marlow was the most seriously injured student involved in the crash, and he remains hospitalized at Akron City Hospital. The boys were riding in a Jeep Liberty during their lunch break Wednesday morning when the car rolled over at the intersection of Lake Street and Crain Avenue. Marlow was pinned beneath the car. Robert Klinar, of Perry, will take over as principal of Theodore Roosevelt High School in the fall
Robert Klinar's vision as an educator and school administrator has not changed in 22 years in the education field. "That is, success for every student, every day," Klinar said. The Kent City Schools Board of Education voted to hire Klinar this week to replace retiring Theodore Roosevelt High School principal Roger Sidoti. Klinar, 46, of Perry, OH, currently serves as assistant superintendent for the Riverside Local School District in Painesville, where he is in the midst of teacher contract negotiations. The Lorain native graduated from Mount Union College and has worked in a broad range of capacities as an eductor. Roosevelt student charged with assault A student at Theodore Roosevelt High School faces an assault charge after hitting another student at the school, according to a Kent police report. Officers charged Kyle D. Barber, 18, of Kent, Feb. 3 after a fight at the school. He was arrested at 12:30 and pleaded not guilty later that day to the assault charge, which is a first-degree misdemeanor.
