Sex Toys Worth $800, Lizards Reported Stolen: Police Blotter

All information is according to Kent Police.

Residents in the 900 block of Lawrence Court in Silver Meadows Apartments reported close to $3,000 in electronics and other items stolen recently to Kent Police. The residents told police Nov. 3 someone broke into their apartment and grabbed several high-dollar electronics, a box full of sex toys and three lizards. Residents told police a large box full of Pure Romance sex toys valued at $800 were stolen along with three pet lizards valued at $60 each. The electronics stolen included: a 32-inch Toshiba TV; an ACER laptop computer; a digital camera of unknown brand; a DVD player; a Samsung digital camera; and a Toshiba laptop. Thieves Steal More Christmas Decorations from Kent Homes

Three incidents of theft of decorations so far this holiday season

Two more Christmas displays have fallen victim to thieves in Kent. A white, pink and yellow plastic baby Jesus was stolen from 657 Longmere Drive on Dec. 3. The home, at the corner of Longmere Drive and Middlebury Road, is owned by the Brueggeman family, which is known for having one of Kent's most elaborate holiday yard displays. The doll, which lights up, was stolen from the yard's nativity scene display and is valued at $100. A second holiday decoration theft was reported from a home in the 500 block of Crain Avenue on Dec. 2. An inflatable Santa Claus yard decoration and an inflatable snowman yard decoration were stolen from the home. Each decoration was valued at $30. Police Blotter: Thieves Steal Christmas Tree

The following arrest information was provided by the Kent Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Christmas tree stolen Thieves nabbed a Christmas tree from a Crain Avenue home over the holiday weekend. Residents in the 500 block of Crain Avenue reported their tree stolen on Saturday, Nov. 26. The tree was about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and was decorated with white lights and teal-colored ornaments. The thieves also made off with a green Christmas wreath. Anyone with information about the stolen tree can call Kent police at 330-673-7732. Construction equipment nabbed Several pieces of construction equipment were stolen from a Longcoy Avenue home just before the Thanksgiving Holiday.
