Police Arrest Kimbolton Man for Breaking into Car Dealerships

All information is according to Kent Police. Arrest information does not indicate conviction.

Kent Police have arrested a Kimbolton, OH, man on charges he broke into two Kent car dealerships earlier this year. Police arrested Gary E. Leaster, Jr., 28, on two counts of breaking and entering involving Klaben Auto Stores and Don Joseph Toyota. Employees at Don Joseph Toyota reported to Kent Police Aug. 18 that several windows were broken and a TV was stolen from the West Main Street car dealership. The dealership reported a 55-inch LG flat panel TV was stolen and three window panes were broken. All total, the dealership sustained $1,200 in theft and damage. Leaster is connected to incidents from Aug. 18 and Aug. 24, according to police. Earlier in August the Toyota dealership reported more than $500 in damage to cars on the car dealer…

Klaben to Add Used Car Dealership on Main Street

Dealership plans to expand onto former Huntington Bank property

The Klaben Auto Stores is expanding its West Main Street campus to include a used car lot at the former Huntington Bank branch at 1035 W. Main St. Klaben Property Management received approval for their used car plans from the Kent Planning Commission this week. Al Klaben told the plannning commission the former bank will house three to four sales people with used cars displayed on the property. "Basically we’re going to use the existing Huntington building as a used car office," he said. "Nothing’s going to change with the existing building." The expansion includes the removal of a grass area to allow for more car display space and to widen the service driveway at Klaben Ford to the west. The actual parking lay out is not set to allow …
