Kent Women's Lacrosse Ends Winning Season with Heartbreak in Cleveland Heights (PHOTOS)

Kent Roosevelt Women's Lacrosse, with a regular season record of 14-2, loses by a score of 10-18 to the Cleveland Heights Tigers in the second round of the Division 1 playoffs Monday night.

Kent Roosevelt, with a halftime score of 7-9, appeared to be trading goals back and forth with the Cleveland Heights Tigers in the second round of the Division 1 women's lacrosse playoffs in Cleveland Monday night. But that was only the first half. In the second half, the Tigers went on to score nine more goals, while the Rough Riders scored three, making the final score 10-18. "I think we played the best we could," said Head Coach Christy Mitchell, who was marking the end of her 12th women's lacrosse season at Kent. "We brought everything we had. We just lost control in the second half." The Tigers' regular season record of 9-6-1 did not compete with Kent's 14-2 winning season going into Monday's game. But it still ended up being a great …
