The Kent Parks and Recreation Department office on Middlebury Road near Haymaker Parkway is the primary place for KentMore parents looking to register their children in youth athletic and other programs. In addition to management and future park planning, the office also handles scheduling for the Parks Department's rental facilities. The small, crowded office is nestled among the trees at the northern edge of Fred Fuller Park. Adjacent to the park office, the city's original jail was relocated for preservation. The old jail also is available for small group rental.

The park is home to the city's parksMore department offices, holds the annual Art in the Park Labor Day weekend festivities, features the Kramer Ball Fields complex and offers one of Kent's longest hike and bike paths, which runs alongside, and crosses over, the Cuyahoga River.

The park offers the traditional amenities, from cozy picnic spaces beneath the tall tree canopy to standard pavilions and playground areas. A natural amphitheater area includes hillside seating and a performance stage.

The park also features the Roy Smith Shelterhouse, which is available for rental.

The Student Recreation and Wellness Center at Kent State University has open membership available to members of theMore community. The massive facility features the latest in top-of-the-line exercise equipment, including a full complement of aerobic exercise machines, a complete weight room, lap and leisure pools, a running track, indoor soccer field, racquetball courts and several college-regulation basketball courts. Countless windows flood the three-level facility with natural light. Parking is available either by purchasing a daily permit at a vending machine or by buying a semester permit through the university's parking services department.
