As clerk for Kent City Council, this office is responsible for posting meeting agendas, minutes, times and locations…More for public review.
The clerk's office is also responsible for posting proposed and reviewed ordinances both pending and approved by Kent City Council. The automatic door that leads into the lobby also accesses the Kent mayor's office.
This office also handles passport applications for area residents. Standard fees apply, and passport photos are not available here.
The cemetery on Kent's north side sits between the city's high school and the Cuyahoga River. Its namesake - the standing rock in the middle of the river - is picturesque and the subject of considerable local lore. The most frequently heard tale is that the large, flat-topped rock was used for council meetings by Native American tribes.
The still-active cemetery is well-kept and still used as the end point for the city's annual Memorial Day parade.
