Western Reserve Media

Until 2008, most area residents knew Western Reserve Public Media as PBS television stations, broadcasting locally on channels 45 and 49. The new moniker helped define the organization's regional reach and better represents its full range of outlets from broadcast to internet, print and new media. The non-profit organization's offices are tucked away in a sparsely populated, wooded area of Kent near the southern edge of the Kent State University campus. Western Reserve Public Media reaches 1.8 million households and 4.4 million viewers in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
