A Kent landmark, Taco Tanto's has succeeded by keeping its menu short—it only offers a few burritos, tacos and other Mexican specialties—and serving up nothing but quality food.

While the menu board isn't long, the food is long on taste and items aren't short on inspiration. (Sweet potato/black bean burritos, for instance. Sounds weird, maybe, but the taste is pure goodness!)

While longtime customers might get into a heated debate about the independently owned restaurant's best menu item, few would argue that the proprietor's hot and mild sauces are simply perfect. 

Good news: anything on the menu can be ordered to go, in quantities to feed a crowd. (Yep, including those delicious sauces.) Just allow ample notice. 

Speaking of crowds, it doesn't take much to make this place feel crowded,  which explains why you'll often see patrons enjoying their meals on the restaurant's steps or taking their food to another establishment to enjoy with a cool drink. Taco Tanto's next-door-neighbor, the Loft, is so keen to this that it advertises its patio to Taco Tanto customers.
