Silver Oaks Place is a senior/retirement community situated on the eastern edge of Kent State University's campus. Residents are encouraged to take classes (at senior discount/auditing option) at the university. The quiet residential streets are lined with pine trees, as well as the namesake oaks. Apartments offer several floor plans with one-, two- and three-bedroom options. Silver Oaks residents (55 and older) can enjoy the on-site pool, hobby/woodworking area, and social room. Pets are allowed; laundry facilities are shared.
