Riverwood is a part of the Chapel Consortium of Churches and is a branch of The Chapel in Akron. The Kent church began meeting in Roosevelt High School in 1991 and opened the doors of its large church facility in 1998.
The nondenominational congregation focuses on worship "for what we are created" (see "Ten Reasons To Worship God" on its website) and offers a wide variety of ministries and programs for members and prospective members.
