The Captain Brady Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3703 is a hard-to-find but welcoming association for all of Kent's veterans for both recent and past conflicts.
The Kent VFW, founded in 1938, offers a large lounge with padded, high-backed stools, three TV sets, a pool table and indoor cornhole boards. Membership ranges in age from veterans of World War II to Iraq and Afghanistan war vets.
The Capt. Brady post also features a 200-seat hall available for rental with a complete kitchen. Hall rental questions? Call 330-603-1679 or the post.
The post is located on VFW Parkway, which is not listed in most GPS systems. Signs are posted on Haymaker Parkway directing cars to Stow Street and Tallmadge Avenue. The hall is located just south of Haymaker Parkway/S.R. 59.
