I have had my hair cut and colored by Karen Shaw, owner of A Cut Above, for nearly 10 years. In all that time I have never had a bad haircut or color. I frequently get compliments on my hair which have led to referrals for A Cut Above. A Cut Above offers a full array of services including massages, manicures, pedicures, and a spa day. I have taken advantage of all of these and each one was top notch. The atmosphere is friendly and everyone there is very professional.
I really love this place! I think the prices are very reasonable and more than that, the cuts are great. (Not just one stylist; I've used three, and schedule my son/hubby with whoever is available.) A Cut Above is well-run, clean, and I never feel pressured to buy product. (Though the products are reasonably priced, too.) My new favorite reason to stop in: massage, ALSO very reasonably priced. Yep, five stars for sure!
Karen Shaw, owner of A Cut Above, has saved me from two disasterous cuts! After the last bad one - elsewhere :) - was so traumatized, waited 9 months before coming in for cut and colour w/ highlights. Get scads of compliments on my hair any time I go (don't think I'll ever stray again . . .) and happy to give referrals each time. Great atmosphere, professional (I trust all there), reasonable prices (even when I didn't use a special from their website: www.acutabovekent.com), good products . . .love it!
