Council to Vote on $20,000 Landscape Contract

Council meets Wednesday at 7:15 p.m.

Kent City Council will consider a $20,000 landscape agreement for a strip of green space along Haymaker Parkway fronting the downtown redevelopment block this week.

The contract with College Town Kent, the development entity behind the new AMETEK and Davey Tree buildings downtown, spells out an installation and maintenance agreement for the strip of land on the north side of the five-land roadway.

The city's share, if approved by council, will be $20,000 and includes a 15-year maintenance agreement, according to the city manager's weekly memo to council.
