The Kent Roosevelt girls' basketball team won their first round sectionals game against Cuyahoga Falls, 56-29, at Ellet High School on Saturday.

Daniella Rice, Christine Keener, and Abby Wemhoff combined to score 33 points in the victory. Keener was 5 for 6 at the free throw line, and led Kent with 13 points. Wemhoff followed with 11 points.

The Rough Riders held Cuyahoga Falls to single-digit scoring in each of the first three quarters.
