Junior Kent Roosevelt quarterback Tra Chapman is headed to the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Chapman was among eight other area star football players headed to the game on Jan. 5, 2013, in the annual east versus west match.
The 6 foot 2, 200 pound junior helped lead Kent to several victories in the 2011 season.
Throughout his high school career, Chapman has averaged 236 passing yards per game, earned a total 2,835 passing yards, scored 29 touchdowns and has a quarterback rating of 137, according to MaxPreps.com.
For more than a decade, the U.S. Army All-American Bowl has been the Nation’s premier high school football game, serving as the preeminent launching pad for America’s future college and NFL stars. Adrian Peterson, Mark Sanchez, Tim Tebow, Andrew Luck and Marcus Lattimore all made their national debuts as U.S. Army All-Americans, according to the bowl game website.
Chapman will join athletes from other area schools including Hudson, Solon and Avon.
