Kent dominates the field with multiple shots on goal
The Kent Roosevelt boys' soccer team played 80 minutes of winning soccer at home Tuesday night, soundly defeating Norton with a shutout score of 3-0.
Junior defender Noah Johnson, a leading scorer for the team's 3-1-5 season, scored twice — 20 minutes into the first half, and a second time, 11 minutes into the second half. Sophomore forward Logan Schmucker put the game away with a header 10 minutes before the game ended.
Kent's 2011 record includes wins against Norton, Streetsboro and Ravenna; one loss against Stow; and ties with Western Reserve, Revere, Hoban, Lake and Green. Kent will play two other games this week — an away game Thursday against Glen Oak of Canton and a home game on senior night, Saturday, against Hoover of North Canton. Both games are at 7 p.m.
