The Kent State University athletic department recently released the men's Golden Flashes non-conference basketball schedule, which includes a record-breaking 18 home games.
"We're fortunate that this year we get to play 18 home games. Playing at home this many times takes a commitment from your athletics director and administration. I'm really thankful that our administration has chosen to support our program in this manner," said third-year head coach Rob Senderoff in a prepared statement.

The schedule includes two local rivals: Cleveland State and Youngstown State. The final nine home games are part of the new 18-game Mid-American Conference schedule, which will be released at a later date.
"We wanted to put together a tough non-conference schedule that will help get us prepared for the conference," said Senderoff. "Our schedule includes five teams that participated in post-season tournaments, two regular season conference champions, and three schools that won 20 or more games last season."
