Kent State Football Shuttle Schedule Changes

Changes start Saturday for game against Ball State

Kent State and PARTA have tweaked the shuttle schedule for football games in the hope of making the trip to Dix Stadium easier for fans beginning with the Golden Flashes Sept. 29 game against Ball State.

The change begins 45 minutes prior to kickoff when all busses will take fans directly to the stadium's West Gate for easy access to the main ticket window and will-call services.

At all other times, the drop-off point will continue to be at the stadium's East Gate, just a short walk from the Indoor Tailgate Zone in the Field House and the Student Tailgate Zone.

Prior to this year, the shuttle service stopped only on the stadium's west side.

"After the first game there were a number of concerns with getting our students to the east side of our stadium and a number of fans who have used the bus service to get to the west side of the stadium," said Deputy Athletic Director Tom Kleinlein. "We decided to meet in the middle so beginning 45 minutes prior to the start of the game we will have busses switch over and take fans to the west side of the stadium."

There is a ticket window outside the East Gate for fans to purchase tickets if they arrive prior to 45 minutes before kickoff. Tickets can also be purchased inside the Field House for fans visiting the Indoor Tailgate Zone.

Shuttle services begin three hours prior to kickoff with stops every three-to-six minutes along Summit Street between the Student Center to Dix Stadium. The shuttle ends 30 minutes after the end of the game.

All busses depart from the west side of Dix Stadium after the conclusion of games.
