Kent State Beats Akron 79-68

Kent clinches No. 1 seed in the MAC tournament

The Kent State Golden Flashes beat rival Akron Zips in a close game at the MACC tonight.

With the 79-68 win, the Kent State men's basketball team clinches the No. 1 seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament — the stepping stone to the NCAA Tournament.

Forward Justin Greene led the Flashes with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Greene also scored his 1,000th point as a Flash.
