Flashes Pick Up 21 Recruits on National Signing Day
Head Coach Paul Haynes announced his first recruiting class Wednesday afternoon.
There will be 21 new faces on the Kent State football team next season.
The Golden Flashes announced Wednesday they signed 21 recruits on National Signing Day, according to the athletics department.
The recruits, all receiving scholarships, are the first for new Head Coach Paul Haynes, who was hired after Darrell Hazell announced he was leaving for Purdue in December.

According to the athletic department, the average grade-point average of the players is a 3.16 and all but one served as team captains in high school.
Kent State's recruiting class was ranked No. 103 by Rivals.com.

""We looked for players that wanted to come in and compete for a spot right away," Haynes said in Wednesday's press conference. "We wanted to get our kind of guys. And that's what we got."
