Walls Elementary is Site of Two Spring Weddings

Ken Sheppard's kindergarten class in 20th year of staging Mr. Q and Miss U's union.

You probably know this pair. Theirs is a forever kind of union. In fact, these two are so certainly meant to be together, they’ve gotten married every spring for 20 years.

For two decades, Ken Sheppard’s kindergarten class at has celebrated Mr. Q and Miss U’s union in holy matrimony. The ceremony takes place in the gymnasium. Many guests are invited and they are seated by ushers (of course!) in suits.

Just like at any wedding, a few members of the wedding party are likely to have some jitters. Some guests might get a bit fidgety in their chairs – but all of them rise when the wedding march plays.

It’s a very joyous affair. See, they’ve all known for a long time that Mr. Q and Miss U were bound to end up together. Mr. Q is quiet and cannot make his own sound. Miss U is independent, makes many sounds, and still wants to be with Mr. Q.

Adam Khan and Gianna Walker officiated the beautiful ceremony. They made the "congregation" laugh when they each asked Mr. Q to wink at Miss U and when they asked Miss U to bat her eyes at Mr. Q.

A reception immediately followed the ceremory, complete with a two-tier wedding cake provided by Bakery, dinner mints and a chance to do the hokey pokey and the chicken dance.

The morning wedding party consisted of: Brandon Keck as Mr. Q; Emma Arthur as Miss U; bridesmaids Savannah Coleman and Sarah Piorkowski; groomsmen Cameron Gokey and Wyatt Mathes; Zoe Jones, flower girl; Ashley Legg, mother of the bride, and Arrione Wilson, mother of the groom.

The afternoon wedding party consisted of: Anthony Coffman as Mr. Q; Eriaya Bullock as Miss U; bridesmaids Gabriella Baker and Gabriel Groves, and groomsmen Mason Claridy, Carter Schilling and Mason Milam.
