Special Guests to Dedicate May 4 Visitor Center on 43rd Anniversary
The events planned will commemorate the killing of four students and wounding of nine by Ohio National Guardsmen on May 4, 1970.
Film director and producer Oliver Stone and PBS news anchor Gwen Ifill are scheduled to commemorate the 43rd anniversary of the shootings that left four students dead and nine more wounded by Ohio National Guard fire.
The May 4 Visitors Center at Kent State University opened to the public during Homecoming festivities last fall.
The program beings at noon May 4, 2013. Ifill is slated to speak from 4 to 6 p.m. and Stone will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Cartwright Hall university auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public. (Limited seating is available.)
