"Since all of the finalists did a fantastic job rallying the support of their communities, all of the schools are going to receive 200 gallons of quality Glidden paint to brighten up their classrooms," a Glidden spokesperson posted on the company's Facebook page.

The winner received the free paint plus paid labor to apply it and a community party courtesy Glidden.

Too bad Franklin didnt win. But, 200 gallons of paint is a great consolation prize as paint prices have nearly doubled in the past two yrs.

This is great news for Franklin Elementary!! Now, about the labor, we'll be needing to get it repainted...Any Fraternity or Sorority at KSU looking for more Community Involvement? Laurie
