Using Google

Prerequisites: Intro to the WWW or experience using the WWW

There's lots of information on the Web; but sometimes finding it can be difficult! In this class, attendees will learn how to use Google, the premier web search engine, to search the Web effectively and find what they want. The class also covers who authors websites and how to tell an authoritative website from one that maybe isn't totally accurate.

Classes are free and held in the Kent Free Library Computer Lab on the 2nd floor of the library. Classes begin promptly at the time designated. Classes are taught by library staff.

Registration for classes begins on the first day of the month preceding the class. Stop by or call the Reference Desk. Attendees are taken on a first come, first served basis, and seats are limited to 14 per class.
