Speaker: Historian and NYU Professor Dr. Michael Gomez Reception

This is the reception before the lecture by Dr. Gomez. You are invited to get there early to mingle and chat.

The lecture that follows is brought to you by Kent's Department of Pan-African Studies. The group will gather at Oscar Ritchie Hall to hear from Dr. Michael Gomez. His lecture, "“Was Culture a Location of Resistance in the Americas? Examining the African Experience,” will carefully investigate the relationship between cultures. His lecture will dive into the resistance among slaves of African descent.
