Schools

Introduction to the World Wide Web

Prerequisites:  Intro to Computers or understanding of windows and ability to use the mouse.

For anyone who's ever been told "you can find that on our website," and not known how to do that, this class will show them how. Attendees will hear a brief history of the rise of the Web and an overview of who's using it today and how. The class will cover how to go to websites and navigate them. Finally, attendees will begin to learn how to find information through surfing the web.

Classes are free and held in the Kent Free Library Computer Lab on the 2nd floor of the library.  Classes begin promptly at the time designated.  Classes are taught by library staff.

Registration for classes begins on the first day of the month preceding the class.  Stop by or call the Reference Desk.  Attendees are taken on a first come, first served basis, and seats are limited to 14 per class.
