Dorm Overcrowding Familiar Problem at Kent State

University lacks enough beds for registered residence hall residents

It's starting to become a regular problem each fall—Kent State University doesn't have enough dorm rooms for all the students registered to live on campus this semester.

Kent State spokesperson Eric Mansfield told KentWired.com that about 74 students are living in what's called "transitional housing," which is typically student lounge space temporarily converted into rooms for students.
