Presidential campaign office located in Acorn Alley

Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney's Portage County campaign office opened in Kent Tuesday.

The office, located in , is being managed by Carla DiBlasio.

Wow - maybe I can go there and get a straight answer on his actual plan for restoring prosperity. The Rob Portman "non-column" in the Beacon Journal on the topic didn't address one relevant point.

I don't know that making underhand comments towards anyone in our community is a good way to approach the heated political climate facing this election year. If you don't like Romney's views, don't vote for him. If you don't like Obama's views don't vote for him. But posting divisive language towards community members only further impairs constructive conversations and progress.

I am happy that he has an office here. It makes sense...and any open-minded, thinking, university town citizen should be pleased that both candidates see the value in being here. (Now, anyone who wants to continue to be irksome should go troll somewhere else.)
