Voters give new downtown restaurant OK for Sunday alcohol sales
Kent's newest downtown restaurant got the OK from voters Tuesday to sell wine and liquor on Sundays.
Voters in precinct 5A voted "yes" to allow to sell spirituous wine and liquor on Sundays, according to final but unofficial results from the Portage County Board of Elections.
Of 65 votes cast, 50 voters (77 percent) cast ballots in favor of the Sunday alcohol sales. Just 15 votes (23 percent) were cast against the issue.
