Office Sought: Ward 5 Council
Previous Political Office Sought or Held: Ward 5 Council, first elected in 2008
Candidate Statement: I would like to finish some of the projects that we have started. I also feel that there’s a lot more to be done for Ward 5 that we made progress on that I would like to continue.
I believe it’s really important that we continue on with the economic development plan that we’ve started. And the partnerships with the university; working together to make Kent more economically and socially vibrant. It’s very important because it’s really a budget issue. The problem is the structural deficit, but the solution is something that will improve quality of life as well as boost the economy.
The main goal is I want to see the development projects completed downtown. Another goal is I would like to continue looking at the longterm development of the city through the zoning code, through planning not just for the downtown but for the different corridors.
