Candidate Statement: The one (goal) that I’ve been working on is some energy conservation programs. And I have been able to get some of those working. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to realize it … my goal would be to have the government run financially streamlined, like a smooth-running business would run.

Everybody’s always going to say money. And that’s always been my thing, trying to reduce spending. I think the majority of council are going to say downtown development. I think there’s two things that I would think are important. And one is creating jobs and looking at how to produce industrial jobs in Kent. And I’ll still stick with my trying to cut spending, even though I haven’t been real successful at times.
