The League of Women Voters of Kent will sponsor a candidate forum featuring local contested races in the March primary. Candidates will face off for the following races: Portage County Commissioner, term commencing Jan. 2, 2013; Portage County Commissioner, term commencing Jan. 3, 2013; Portage County Recorder and Portage County Sheriff. The forum is open to all county residents.
The Kent League has also invited individuals running unopposed for U.S. Representative 13th District; State Representative 75th District; Portage County Coroner; Portage County Engineer; Portage County Prosecutor; Portage County Treasurer and Portage County Clerk of Courts. The program will include only remarks from candidates in contested races.
