Kent's new courthouse will be built on East Main Street next to the Kent Historical Society.

Portage County Commissioners voted unanimously this afternoon to select a roughly two-acre site at 303 E. Main St. to build the new courthouse.

The decision comes after years of wrangling over the location. as the commissioners sought a compromise on the location.
