Construction on Davey Tree Building Gets OK

Building permit allows for start of first building in downtown redevelopment project

Final approval has been granted for construction to start on Kent's downtown redevelopment project.

Kent's building department issued the first construction permit for "Building A," commonly referred to as the Davey Resource Group — a division of The Davey Tree Expert Co. — building that will stand at the corner of South Water Street and Haymaker Parkway.

The building is the first of three that will be built as part of the with Cleveland developer Fairmount Properties.

The permit gives the OK for the building's foundation, shell and zoning. It will be built at 295 S. Water St. by contractor Premier Development Partners, LLC.
