City May Buy Former RB&W Site on Mogadore Road
Land buy contingent upon Clean Ohio Revitalization Fund award
The city of Kent could take ownership of one of its most successful former manufacturing sites on Mogadore Road by the end of the year.
Kent City Council members voted tonight to buy the former RB&W property at 800 Mogadore Road from owner Thomas & Betts Corp. of Tennessee for $1.
But the land purchase is contingent upon the award of state moneys through the Clean Ohio Revitalization Program to clean up some remaining brown field contaminants on the site.
