VIDEO: Firefighters Train at Vacant Kent State Apartments

Allerton buildings slated for demolition loaned out to Kent Fire Department for practice burns

Members of the Kent Fire Department spent the day training with live-burn scenarios on the Kent State University campus Thursday.

The university is opening up buildings in the Allerton Apartments complex that are scheduled for demolition so firefighters can use the empty apartments to train.

Training exercises are expected to continue for the next several weeks.
