Third Man Charged in Kent State Campus Robbery

Investigation continues into armed robbery of two students

A third suspect has been arrested in connection with on campus Feb. 5.

Paris O. Millberry, 20, of Canton, has been charged with aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, according to Portage County municipal court records.

Millberry, a Kent State student, joins two other men charged with aggravated robbery for using a .40-caliber handgun in the robbery, according to court records. John Blackmon, 20, a University of Akron student, and Andrew Scott, 20, also a Kent State student, were arrested and charged last week.

All three men were indicted as co-defendants Thursday by a Portage County grand jury on the aggravated robbery charge. All three pleaded not guilty in court Monday. They are all being held on separate $10,000 bonds. Their case is set to go to jury trial in May.

The victims were robbed late on a Saturday night in the Harbourt Hall parking lot near the Kent State Ice Arena. The victims were not injured.

Kent State police would not say if more arrests are expected. University spokesperson Emily Vincent said the department's investigation remains open.
