Thieves Steal More Christmas Decorations from Kent Homes

Three incidents of theft of decorations so far this holiday season

Two more Christmas displays have fallen victim to thieves in Kent.

A white, pink and yellow plastic baby Jesus was stolen from 657 Longmere Drive on Dec. 3. The home, at the corner of Longmere Drive and Middlebury Road, is owned by the Brueggeman family, which is known for having one of Kent's most elaborate holiday yard displays.

The doll, which lights up, was stolen from the yard's nativity scene display and is valued at $100.

A second holiday decoration theft was reported from a home in the 500 block of Crain Avenue on Dec. 2. An inflatable Santa Claus yard decoration and an inflatable snowman yard decoration were stolen from the home. Each decoration was valued at $30.

But the inflatable decorations weren't the first holiday item theft from the Crain Avenue home.
