Snapshot: Fire Department Tours Star of the West Mill

Members of the toured the downtown this morning as part of the department's regular training regimen.

The department visits businesses throughout Kent periodically to stay familiar with building layouts and manufacturing processes.

The mill initiated this morning's visit by asking the department to take a look at some new equipment there, Kent Fire Capt. John Tosko said.

So don't worry — there was no emergency at the mill this morning. But you can rest assured if there is the fire department will be prepared for it.
