Sheetz Robber Sought by Kent Police

White male in his late 50s robbed the gas station at North Mantua Street and Fairchild Avenue Sunday morning

Kent police are asking for help finding a man who robbed the Sheetz gas station at the corner of Fairchild Avenue and North Mantua Street Sunday morning.

The suspect is a white male in his late 50s with white hair, about 6 feet tall and medium to heavy build. He was last seen wearing gray plaid shorts, a white T-shirt with a Nike logo on the front, flip flops and a khaki fishing hat.

The man entered the store at 600 N. Mantua St. just after 3:30 a.m. Sunday, demanded cash from the clerk and acted as if he had a gun, according to Kent police. Witnesses did not see a weapon, and no one was injured.

He fled west from the store on foot.
