Officials Still Searching for Man Missing for a Month

The 45-year-old man was reported missing on May 15.

An investigation continues more than a month after a 45-year-old Norton man was reported missing by his wife on May 15. 

Sheriff David Doak is requesting the public's assistance in locating Jeffrey J. Hathaway from Norton. Hathaway is described as a white male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, 220 pounds, blonde hair, blue eyes and no facial hair at the time.  

He was last seen on Wednesday, May 15 by his wife at 11 a.m.

During the early morning hours of Thursday, May 16 Hathaway’s vehicle was found in a parking lot at the Berlin Reservoir Wildlife Area located on Fewtown Road in Deerfield Township, Portage County, according to a prepared statement.

Officers searched extensively in the area for a couple days in May, but Hathaway was not found.

Doak is requesting anyone with information or anyone seeing Hathaway to call the Portage County Sheriffs Office at 330-296-5100.
