Motorist Flees Scene After Hitting Pedestrian on South Water Street

Victim was taken to hospital after 2 a.m. incident Sunday.

have confirmed that a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle on South Water Street early Sunday morning – and the motorist left the scene.

Lt. Paul Canfield said the incident occurred at 2:02 a.m. Sunday near . Police are still investigating, so further details could not be released, Canfield said.

Capt. John Tosko of the confirmed that a squad transported a victim with moderate injuries to Akron City Hospital.
