Kent Woman Going to Prison for String of Felony Burglaries

Assistant Portage County Prosecutor Eric Finnegan had no sentencing recommendation, but noted that Cunard's crimes were "obviously pretty traumatic" for the victims, reported the Record Courier.

Angela M. Cunard, 34, formerly of Lake Street, pleaded guilty to five counts of felony burglary charges in connection with a string of five daytime burglaries in the Kent. 

The Record Courier reported that Cunard received a four-year prison sentence for each charge. 

The burglaries took place between Oct. 30 and Nov. 26, according to Kent Police. In one case, miscellaneous jewelry and electronics valued at more tahn $600 were reported stolen.

The burglaries were reported in the following areas of Kent:

  • 500 block of Harvey St.
  • 400 block of Dansel St.
  • 400 block of Miller Ave.
  • 400 block of Harvey St.
  • 800 block of Bryce Rd.

Earlier this year, Cunard was found guilty of failing to send a child to a Kent elementary school and ordered to community service.
