Police Charge Kent Woman in String of Burglaries

All information is according to Kent Police and Portage County court records. Arrest information does not indicate conviction.

A Kent woman faces five counts of felony burglary charges in connection with a string of five daytime burglaries in the city.

Kent Police arrested Angela M. Cunard, 34, of 1020 Lake St., and charged her with all second-degree felonies in connection with the thefts.

The burglaries took place between Oct. 30 and Nov. 26, according to Kent Police. In one case, miscellaneous jewelry and electronics valued at more tahn $600 were reported stolen.

The burglaries were reported in the following areas of Kent:

  • 500 block of Harvey St
  • 400 block of Dansel St
  • 400 block of Miller Ave
  • 400 block of Harvey St
  • 800 block of Bryce Rd

Cunard is being held in the Portage County jail on a $10,000 bond.

She appeared in court for a preliminary hearing on the burglary charges Friday.

Kent Police Chief Michelle Lee wrote on the department's Facebook page that Cunard was arrested in Kent.

"She had just committed another burglary prior to her arrest," Lee said.

Earlier this year, Cunard was found guilty of failing to send a child to a Kent elementary school and ordered to community service.
